The Palazzo Rabino was founded here in May 2000 to promote the hazelnut and maintain the traditions of the Cortemilia area.

Over the last weekend of August the town celebrates Profumi Di Nocciola which is a festival of hazelnut deserts and wines of the Langa arranged together Arcigola Slow Food.
Cortemilia is divided into two parts, the old displaying its distant past in the form of Romanesque-style columns and arches and a new part with a fine selection of shops, restaurants, banks and bars.
Cortemilia has a population of approximately 2591 and is situated 250 above sea level.
