Saluzzo

Saluzzo, is one of the most charming towns in the Piedmont region with a rich history of art and culture which is still very evident today. The historic centre of the town features narrow cobbled streets and fine architecture which includes the XVth century Civic Tower and the medieval castle of the Marquis of Saluzzo.

The modern part of the town has a sophisticated feel to it, much like Alba, and offers an excellent range of shops and good restaurants.

Saluzzo is located in a beautiful position on the hills between the Bronda and the Varaita Valleys and as you explore the nearby mountain regions you will come across tiny villages, churches, abbeys and local rustic buildings known as “ Baita” with their characteristic slate roofs. Here you can trek, cross country ski and mountain bike with clear sunny skies and views of Mount Viso. Saluzzo actually makes a great base for traveling to the mountains to participate in the activity of your choice.

This area is a relatively undiscovered part of Piemonte and as such current property prices are excellent value. Please contact us for further information. The town has a population of 16,000 and is situated 395 metres above sea-level.
